Genel Amacı
Overall objective is to improve the quality of education and training for gifted students. The specific objectives are “increasing the capacity of teachers in the field of special education and/or inclusive education with trainings” and “preparing training materials related to the special education and/or inclusive education”. These specific objectives will be targeted through “teacher trainings for BİLSEMs teachers” and “promotion of training materials through online database”.

Özel Amacı
This project is going to be held in education sector and answer the training needs of teachers by scientifically developed and need-driven “teacher trainings” and “training materials” by the academic experts specialized in the field of gifted education. Training materials will be developed by academic experts on the basis of the needs of the target group, the up-to-date scientific literature and best practices in the field. As results of these, teacher will be educated on “the characteristics of gifted children, differentiated instructional strategies, enrichment activities and instructional methodologies beneficial for them”.

Beklenen Sonuçlar
There will be a clear picture on the needs of teachers working with gifted students. We will know what the best practices are and what the literature says in gifted education field. All these will make a basis for the academicians to develop content for teachers in gifted education. Then the teachers will be presented the trainings and all the material will be uploaded to an online database to be accessible by all teachers and stakeholders in the gifted education field.
All these outcomes help to strengthen the teachers working with gifted students. They will learn characteristics of gifted students and effective teaching strategies for them. Additionally they are going to be provided online materials to be used when needed.Through these trainings and online materials, the training needs of teacher will be answered. The teachers will be more competent in the gifted education area, thus the quality of education will be improved for gifted students. Finally, the emerging reports on needs, best practices and literature reviews will facilitate better practices in the field of gifted education.
